Talk:Tabqa

From A Closer Look On Syria

This video purports to show captured SAA soldiers being marched through the desert and being murdered after the fall of Tabqa Airbase

There is significant reason to believe these are actually civilians and quite likely in Deir Ezzor some months ago. The terrain matches and where full clothing is seen it's civilian.

There are certainly photos and videos of a small number of captured soldiers from Tabqa but I don't think the clip linked here is related. Comments? --Charles Wood (talk) 22:10, 29 August 2014 (UTC)

I had a quick look, and don't lnow the terrain difference - it's all in Raqqah, desert mainly ... the civilian clothes here is mostly underwear. And from what I heard, it seems most soldiers were captured after they tried to flee. And that's ogten done in civilian clothes. Seeing how they're a large number of fit, fighting age men, they're either that segment singled out from a huge pool of captives, or soldiers. Either one is entirely possible as far as I know. --Caustic Logic (talk) 22:57, 29 August 2014 (UTC).
