Time estimate: Rough start - tried eyeballing where the far ("sundial?") entrance corner runs to where this guy is standing - his shadow is on that same line. The line I drew was 99 degrees. That's not exact, but seems close. It comes out to 8:09 am. I agree with you this is a bit earlier than Khan Sheikhoun hosing EMC.jpg - which I timed around 8:20. That line up makes me feel eve more like I'm on the right track. --Caustic Logic (talk) 10:34, 26 April 2017 (UTC)

Late Note: Somewhere, we did this more carefully and we wound up agreeing it is closer to 7, probably 7:10-7:15. Details when I find where they are... --Caustic Logic (talk) 09:19, 23 September 2017 (UTC)

My method was comparing the angle the shadow makes to the horizon to the total field-of-view of the camera. (Both calculated in degrees or pixels.) Actually I did the analysis for File:Khan Sheikhoun hosing EMC.jpg. This photo is earlier. Actually it is the sundial that puts this photo around 7:10 -- Petri Krohn (talk) 12:24, 23 September 2017 (UTC)
Thanks, Petri. We're working on this, and it seems with azimuth-corrected angle, the EMC hosing scene is about 7:28. I did a straight-in sunlight reading that put this image at ~7:28. But it's earlier. Harder to time the same way, but about 5-7 minutes earlier, so I'd say 7:20-7:23 is a good range. But that differs from your reading. --Caustic Logic (talk) 05:27, 25 September 2017 (UTC)
