For Mariupol market shelling - curious what these letters probably say. Address is 33 Kyivskaya. Not marked on IPHR's map but near a pin #26, likely misplaced. That says Magazine "Eva" I thought - where Magazin seems to be a type of shop? (Магазин "Ева".) Notes: windows have colorful letters, poster of Marilyn Monroe on north corner. The sign at top may be dated, may not matter. But in case it has significance (was taking a political slant, if it was an actual magazine, etc.) might be worth looking into. Shop was hit on the south end roof, it seems, fire all throughout, little-seen dead person just southeast of the place. Interior may be ransacked (15:00 in this video) Mariupol MS PROM sign.png

Магазин "Ева" = Shop "Eve". But what's shows up at that address appears to be: "Промінвестбанк (?)" (Bank "Prominvest", Ukrainian based Russian owned bank) , in fancy unreadable letters, "Golden Fish" -written on white background lower on the wall. Even lower on green, it's both unreadable and untranslatable, but possibly оволонь, which could mean a meadow (old Russian), or something else misspelled and not coming up translated. --Resup (talk) 02:14, 5 March 2015 (UTC)
"Bank of Putin became the owner of Prominvestbank",-- segodnia.ua--Resup (talk) 02:25, 5 March 2015 (UTC)
Interesting, thanks! The interior does look more like a functioning bank than anything. That gives Внешэкономбанк (Vnesheconombank) as "bank of Putin." Accordiding to this site in Ukrainian, auto-translated: "Prominvestbank (PIB) was founded in 1992, based on the Soviet promstroibank branch. ... In the ranking of NBU by total assets Prominvestbank consistently ranked in the top-10, his assets exceeded 40 billion. hryvnia. Almost 30 billion. ... The crisis of finučreždeniû required additional resources for the additional capitalization, and in capital of Prominvestbank entered the Russian State Corporation Vnesheconombank. Currently, the share Of the PIBesostavlâet about 98%. (meaning Vnesheconombank holds 98%?) Previously reported, November 2008, 70% was bought by two brothers, members of the Regions party. Dec. 2 2013 ""If the crisis and confrontation will be protracted, estimates of the hryvnia, the year 2014 budget projections, with high probability can be adjusted," said first Deputy Head of the Bank Board of prominvestbank Vyacheslav Mr.yutkin. He noted that the experience of other countries where the population was massively this year with protests, shows that the economy and the national currency have substantial losses." A video from March 2012 claims "As Director of Uzhgorod branch of BIP, stealing money under the guise of their superiors." --Caustic Logic (talk) 09:45, 5 March 2015 (UTC)
Ooh, Jan. 14 this year, it's one of the few big banks possibly effected by recent legislation to identify owners of banks, related transactions, and hold them to account and stuff. Forbes Ukraine shows this place for "The consequences of fire by militants from the so-called "DNR" ..." --Caustic Logic (talk) 11:02, 5 March 2015 (UTC)

HRW's map also does not show a rocket hit here, putting the pin at the same nearby building I don't think was hit (will double-check that). It was widely seen blazing. Simple arson amidst the rocket attack? There is roof damage at the south end though - direction of the strike unclear. --Caustic Logic (talk) 09:45, 5 March 2015 (UTC)

RT video shows shop "Eve" by description - a blue house - also burning. Then, the poster on the bank that made me wonder, and the bank blazing. But neither Human Rights Group wound up investigating this hit. Hm. May mean nothing, or something. --Caustic Logic (talk) 10:40, 5 March 2015 (UTC)
