From A Closer Look On Syria

I've really been enjoying the Frontlines Deir Ezzour show this season. Thanks, CE, and Peto Lucem, and the real writers (SAA and allies on the ground). It was so bleak for a while there, with the threat of a total overrun and massacre always hanging. This is a well-deserved turn. The writers are really pulling the story together now towards a happy ending that really didn't seem inevitable. Hundreds of km of desert battled across, US-coalition airstrikes absorbed, and now Deir Ezzour is not just connected to the rest of Syria but solidly connected, with SDF closing in from the north, but in little position to try and dominate anything. SAA moving into Jafra, reclaimed Baghaliya, and the Ayash bases, and Tal Tharda overlooking the airport! This is going well. --Caustic Logic (talk) 08:21, 17 September 2017 (UTC)
