Protests were peaceful, however there could be elements of color revolution techniques (like getting into frenzy by stomping). This fist symbol (appearing in USA, though not massively) was also seen in Serbian Otpor, and from there on Ukrainian Maidan (Klichko party name, Udar, has similar symbolism, if not graphics).
