Holocaust in Dnepropetrovsk

Valentina Lisitsa on Twitter:

A "mini-Holocaust" they called it in Kolomoysky clan. Leaked emails explain why Israel cancelled Ukraine arms deal. http://pic.twitter.com/EUvIImWhEk
The leak is obviously from "enemy camp" - in election campaign we will see many juicy things coming up. It will not make news because stuff like this is a subject of negotiations. The report that "Israel stopped the deal bcs Russia was unhappy" means Russian side probably said "You ship arms - we air grieving relatives of those 19 killed, you have a major PR problem at home" and both sides come to mutual understanding, agree, shake hands and part. Human lives are but pawns in this game.

Leaked email translated and posted as picture. Kolomoisy, Parasyuk, Odessa mentioned.

The whole cache seems to be here, including letters from the IMF. -- Petri Krohn (talk) 19:11, 16 September 2014 (UTC)

Contradictory news from Odessa

Contradictory reports from Odessa, 7.10.2014

Mikhail Maiman is reported to claim more that 20 beatings of Jews by the Right Sector, in Suvorov district of Odessa, in the 1 month period.

Another source claims this to be a "blatant lie". Right sector is reported to deny

Right Sector is reported to comment "If you are ready to fight with internal and external enemies of Ukraine, ethnicity, religion, etc do not matter" (this is plausible, as those guys would have trouble to figure out who is who, they may just happen to me mostly jewish). Even if Right Sector is an 'equal opportunity harasser', this still would be a problem. It appears that police is passive, and order is maintained by Right Sector

'Press secretary of Jewish Society of Ukraine Berl Kapulkin' is reported to say that 'Mikhail Maiman is not a member, (and actually, may not even exist)'

Mikhail Maiman is reported to say that an appeal to World Jewish Congress in New York will be made 'next week' demanding that Right Sector is disarmed. --Resup (talk) 03:46, 8 October 2014 (UTC)

HELP I'm LOST HERE

Moved from Talk:Ukraine war casualties#HELP I'm LOST HERE

sorry, we can kill this later.

Guys are we on the same planet with Ukraine??

Someone just posted on Saker a link to allegedly hacked emails to/from staff of Kolomoisky.

problems with death of one Garik Zylberbord which honestly I don't recall seeing before

problems with being maybe betrayed by "famous" Sektor leader Volodymyr Parasyuk who there is something horribly fake about, eved if the emails story is not true, claims to have been captured, moved to 3 or 4 places INCLUDING RUSSIA and ESCAPED unharmed.... all in 2 days

about as credible as this little propaganda piece from him a while back

Guy is phoney trough and through. But.... what brand of phoney? I don't know about the emails, right or wrong, except they had this info in them which has not been anywhere else apart from his facebook and 1 translation.

How is this playing out? it is so twisted there I am going seriously dizzy and wondering what planet is it on? is any of this real? is it someone from Mars pretending to be CIA pretending to be NR pretending to have hacked a Jew running a Nazi death squad? wwwwaaaaaa!

The 37 killed seems a reference to one of the recent mass graves unearthed...

HELP KatKan (talk) 12:54, 6 October 2014 (UTC)

That leak must be a couple of days/weeks old, I've read the mails before. Can't remember where. This guy Kolomoiski is really like some super-villain from the comic books. Just yesterday I've read that there is a campaign among influential Jews to kick him out of their organizations, so maybe there is something to the "upset in Israel" talked about in the mails. Funny: The European Jewish Parliament is an organization founded by Kolomoiski himself. --CE (talk) 13:39, 6 October 2014 (UTC)
and I never saw it??? wow. OK. Good they want to kick him out. What if they take his citizenship, too? he'll end up having to go live in Cyprus. They could look at what the others are doing too, while they're there. At least 4 of former Odessa (Jewish) mayor's close staff were actively involved in the Odessa fire. Thanks, CE, for calming me down a bit, now I can go back to finding a few more of those rats. KatKan (talk) 14:43, 6 October 2014 (UTC)
Checked my newsfeed folder but only found out that it had to have been before September 24, as that was the last time I deleted the stuff there... and some creative googling showed me that it made the rounds a day earlier, as such things happen. But only in English, the leak itself has already been on September 16. Then on September 23 "Cyber Riot Novorossiya" published an English narration on facebook. Some other interesting stuff on their page there. According to this story based on other leaks, my beloved Chancelloress has developed a scheme pressuring weaker EU countries into buying Ukrainian steel at grossly inflated prices to fill Kievs coffers... --CE (talk) 16:18, 6 October 2014 (UTC)
I am too tired to dig things but it as a possibly related entry, it was reported that K*** threatened Tsarev, Russia-friendly politician, as I recall, to blame some Jewish death on him. That upset some other jewish folks and they were very seriously pissed off by this reported behavior. I do not want to put any warranty of any of that actually happened. I do not want to get into any of that, actually --Resup (talk) 14:59, 6 October 2014 (UTC)
Yeah, I remember some leaked phone call between the two as well. --CE (talk) 16:18, 6 October 2014 (UTC)
Phone call was K telling T there's a $million price on his head for something or another, supporting Donbass I think.KatKan (talk) 18:33, 6 October 2014 (UTC)
...which T considered and decided to not get pissed off...--Resup (talk) 18:58, 6 October 2014 (UTC)
on ethnic side, there is a very strong and unusual condemnation ( “We have our own rascals, just as any other people. K is precisely such a type,” Kogan said). If he did something wrong, should be held responsible --Resup (talk) 20:08, 6 October 2014 (UTC)
I have moved the thread to this page and to this section #Holocaust in Dnepropetrovsk as the leak was already discussed here on September 16th. (Use the Special:RecentChanges to see what is happening on other pages.) -- Petri Krohn (talk) 00:21, 7 October 2014 (UTC)

Kolomoiskii reads russvesna.su to get his news about 2 days before the best Ukrainian news about the conflict in Donbas. Recently he gave some 2 hour interview, apparently a short segment of it is linked. He has self-contradictory message that (1) because of the war, news should be censored (this is what he appears to say in the beginning of the clip), but (2) how Ukranian media can be trusted if it reports with at least 2 day delay what is available on russvesna.

Yesterday, there was Ukr report that UAF at Donetsk airport repelled all terrorist attacks. (The truth is likely that there are still UAF underground, and Novorossia cannot move equipment to the airport, because they will be shelled from Peski. So it is still somewhat contested, but not like it is controlled by UAF who repels all terrorists. And what's ultimately the point of Ukrainian media ill-coverage? Delay the obvious? --Resup (talk) 12:53, 7 October 2014 (UTC)

Kolomoiskii interview, 27.09.2014 no-nonsense (e.g. around 47.59 explains why for somebody in high government decentralization would appear unattractive, for money/greed reasons). Chooses presentation to appear to care about people in Novorossia. Too long to watch or translate in full, maybe interesting bits are picked by some commentators elsewhere. --Resup (talk) 13:38, 7 October 2014 (UTC)

I think that for ukr.op. media to have any credibility, the media-et-all magnate Mr. Kolomoyskii shall provide his commentary to the video shot in his own backyard, explaining numbers 6350-6554 on the graves in particular, as well as why there are many open pits, etc. And I hope the video will not disappear, also. --Resup (talk) 14:14, 7 October 2014 (UTC)

But it dissappeared. (WTF?) --Resup (talk) 07:35, 12 October 2014 (UTC)

Russian sources, including Cassad, give links without explaining or commenting, like with shrug of shoulders, to this video, Philip Ekoziants (Филипп Экозьянц-VK) (He appears to be well-known in Kharkov singer (romance songs), and recently announced Kharkov partisans responsibility for blowing up train wagons carrying fuel at Sheblinka station. That was done in a very dramatic, stylistically similar video adressed to Anton Gerashenko with details published on social networks one hour before the train exploded. That was said to kill none and save lives of Ukrainian soldiers delayed on their way to ATO. Do not know him otherwise; apparently treated with respect, but do not know any more background). In the video, Philip, in a drmatic voice, gives us an urgent message that recent rumors of Benya K. giving up and leaving are untrue, and what is true is that he is busy preparing private army of Western mercenaries, advisers, and weapons. And so soon they brush aside current spectacle, take over, and Ukraine will be finished and all of fellow Ukrainians will no longer be needed and will hang or something. This is probably seriously exaggerated, because successfully doing something like that requires Iraq-scale investment. Hiring Academi may protect a factory but not win heavy-weapons war. On the other hand some anti-Poroshenko line is fairly obvious, so something may go on in the background. Putting it here as do not see translations or discussions of that video. --Resup (talk) 15:14, 20 January 2015 (UTC)

And Anton Gerashenko is that same MOI adviser who broke the news about MH17 shot by separatists and immediately picked up by Ukraine and the West...--Resup (talk) 16:10, 20 January 2015 (UTC)

Looked more into this and got even more skeptical. There is some long-going religious-type dispute/controversy, with (A) Philip Ekoziants ( orthodox christian ) + Eduard Hodos (Эдуард Ходос), who is reform Judaism, ex- Lubavitch-Chabad, and currently pro-orthodox christian on one side, and (B) Benya K and friends like Yarosh --viewed as Lubavitch-Chabad for whatever reason by (A) . All of that is seriously out of bounds, and I see no reason to run with any of that stuff. I see this type of thing on Saker in off-putting quantities already, but here this sort of thing is taken to the very extreme. --Resup (talk) 06:58, 21 January 2015 (UTC)

Avakov–McNeely prank call

Should this be filed under leaks?

A high-ranking US general has promised Ukraine to help equip its National Guard in a call made by a Russian prankster who pretended to be Ukrainian Interior Minister Arsen Avakov.
Prankster Vladimir Krasnov and unsuspecting US Brig. Gen. Kevin McNeely discussed the problems concerning the Ukraine crisis and the possibility of military and financial aid to Ukraine, LifeNews reports. Krasnov asked about Ukrainian aid requests. According to General McNeely the Pentagon may equip “four companies and one battalion headquarters” of National Guard.

-- Petri Krohn (talk) 20:46, 12 October 2014 (UTC)

Pranks aside, it was officially reported in Russian press that USA does not plan to send lethal arms to Ukraine, but may eventually have do it if crisis gets out of hand. It is not up to Pentagon to ship arms somewhere, of course, at least since the President is the Commander-in-Chief, and overall there is civilian oversight of the military. All of that should be in official legal documents somewhere, and linked to Constitution. So what prankster adds is a laugh (which indeed is in short supply). --Resup (talk) 21:23, 12 October 2014 (UTC)

I say it includes a sort of leak. As an insider, McNeely thinks that might fly. It might help having that aired to underscore the reminder that, officially, Washington will not be doing that. They were considering it, but hopefully less so now. --Caustic Logic (talk) 22:50, 12 October 2014 (UTC)

BND

BND accuses "separatists" shooting MH17 with Buk captured from UAF. Zero evidence is actually presented. Novorossia captured some Buk (according to reports), but that one was not operational (according to same reports, I did not keep links). Also Novorossia does not have officers who are trained in shooting Buk, this is not a shoulder-fired fire-and-forget equipment. What's BND up to ? Saving Merkel face? They do talk about satellite photos, that may be something new. So, where are those photos? --Resup (talk) 18:36, 19 October 2014 (UTC)

20 July, Bolotov, LNR, offers anybody to inspect their Buk which is not in working condition [1]. (BND, did you check?Where is the report of that check And where is (any) of your evidence? ) --Resup (talk) 19:12, 19 October 2014 (UTC)

Documents from the computer of chief military prosecutor of Ukraine

Ukrainian armed forces suffer another devastating defeat in the Southeast. Adventurous offensive Ukrainian troops in Donetsk stopped militias and finally petered out, a huge group of APU got a new boiler under Debaltseve and may soon cease to exist.
Price "blitzkrieg" high: only two weeks of fighting APU lost 1,100 dead soldiers on the battlefield there are more than 100 destroyed tanks, captured by the defenders of the Donbass were dozens of Ukrainian soldiers and officers. Today, these terrible figures are one of the best kept secrets of the Kiev junta. Guide NSDC, Ministry of Defence, and the president himself Poroshenko spare no effort trying to convince public opinion in Ukraine that "no casualties", "the enemy is broken", "thousands of terrorists destroyed."
But in reality, the opposite is true: the troops are demoralized and surrendering, no reserves, mobilization slips, recruits fleeing to Russia and the West. In a panic command ATO publishes insane orders, forms in the rear detachments, throws into senseless attack on a well-prepared defense militias inexperienced young men. At the same time commander of the first criminals fleeing from the front, and prosecutors discharged himself identity combatants and punched benefits. And this at a time when the population of the war zone moans deserters, looters, homicidal maniacs in the form of Ukrainian army soldiers!
We CyberBerkut, we see all these facts, crimes Kiev junta and its well documented. Thus, the following documents posted mined by us from your computer Chief Military Prosecutor of Ukraine.

Lightweight Counter-Mortar Radar?

The US supposedly gave Ukraine three Lightweight Counter-Mortar Radars. The serial numbers of the radars were revealed on a document that supposedly was leaked by CyberBerkut. Or was it? Now one of the radars was captured in Debaltsevo. The serial number on the crate matches one of the serial numbers on the document.

Was the LCMR document part of the leaked batch or was it made public by the US? If it was originally leaked, then the serial number confirms the authenticity of the leaked and by extension the whole batch. -- Petri Krohn (talk) 06:22, 27 February 2015 (UTC)

Yes, CB published a document with three LCMR serial numbers on 25.11.2014 . On 19.02.2015 LifeNews video at 4:43 we see on a side of a big box a serial number 369 (what we see is SN 369); that would be the last of those three numbers previously published. Actually, an authorization to give Ukraine "non-lethal" weapons, materials and training in the total amount of 25 million $ was officially granted and published in the US Federal Register, 24.09.2014. LCMR is considered "non-lethal"; total cost of 3 units said to be about 400 thousand $; so whether or not this is actually a good idea, no US laws seem to be broken here. --Resup (talk) 14:08, 27 February 2015 (UTC)
I found the original document and it confirms my suspicion: the serial number 369 was revealed in a leaked document and it has not been made public otherwise.
The general rule on leaks and forgeries says that if one document from a batch of documents of unknown provenance can be shown to be a forgery, then all documents should be assumed to be fakes as well. On the other hand, if one document from a batch can be authenticated, then we can treat the others as authentic as well. -- 09:15, 1 March 2015 (UTC)

The MH17 JIT says that have radar data from some Ukrainian mobile radar. Could this be an American Lightweight Counter-Mortar Radar?

  • Presentation preliminary results criminal investigation MH17 28-09-2016
Recently, through intensive investigation, the JIT found another video file containing relevant primary radar data of the area which had been recorded by a mobile radar in Ukraine. At the time, this radar was used to test new software. Although it had a limited range, it still detected flight MH17 and this completes the image further."

-- Petri Krohn (talk) 23:54, 28 September 2016 (UTC)

I think the purpose of this is to claim that they have primary radar data; while in reality, uncertain. Why it is a 'video file'? That would not be raw data. Lots of possibilities for mobile radar, any anti-aircraft system, they have plenty; US counter-mortars, a possibility too. Don't know whether it will pick a plane at 10 km height, but could be. There no info on what's in the data, it's supplied by Ukraine and only seen by themselves...--Resup (talk) 00:16, 29 September 2016 (UTC)

Private Military Companies

CB published today an intercept showing that a private US and Europe based military company (GG) is offering its services to Ukraine, to (1) serve as volunteers to handle Western lethal weapons aid, addressing concerns of Europeans, in particular France, that weapons may end up in wrong hands/misused (2) provide training to UAF following NATO standards (rusvesna report). This company says they have experience of providing training and consulting in Georgia in 2014. --Resup (talk) 03:34, 28 February 2015 (UTC)

Ukrainian plans for Maidan in Moscow

Gordon Hahn writes about an earlier CyberBerkut leak and how it relates to the murder of Boris Nemtsov and the planned Maidan 2 in Moscow.

  • A Russian Maidan in the Works? - Gordon M. Hahn
  • A Russian Maidan in the works? - Oriental Review, Mar 3, 2015
At about the same time Rada deputy Goncharenko was in Moscow, a different figure, one Alexander Gontcharuk, figured in emails hacked and published on February 18th by the pro-Russian ‘CyberBerkut’ internet investigating unit showing alleged plans to parlay the March 1 demonstration in Moscow into a Russian Maidan. Although it is not possible to verify the authenticity of the alleged copies of the emails, the early and mid-February emails show Gontcharuk in contact with Nikolay Lyaskin, a close associate of Alexey Navalny.

In fact, the emails can be authenticated (at least 31 of them). They are "DomainKeys Identified Mail" and are signed with a cryptographic key. Anything sent from Gmail, Yandex or Mail.ua is authenticated in this way.

  • Wikipedia: DomainKeys Identified Mail
DomainKeys Identified Mail (DKIM) is an email validation system designed to detect email spoofing by providing a mechanism to allow receiving mail exchangers to check that incoming mail from a domain is authorized by that domain's administrators and that the email (including attachments) has not been modified during transport. A digital signature included with the message can be validated by the recipient using the signer's public key published in the DNS.

Dutch Foreign Office Email

This is not by CyberBerkut, but as it is related to Ukraine and MH17, I will list it here. -- Petri Krohn (talk) 06:49, 6 April 2015 (UTC)

The article accuses K* ... (1) There is a spoof recording of (real) K and (fake) 'Gubarev', where they discuss MH17. 'Gubarev' suggests it was 'them'; K* denies, also says it it was accidental. 'Gubarev' asks, so what, you think it was us? K* denies that as well and the tape cuts off immediately. Unclear what he meant, is it 'DPR, not LPR', or similar fine distinction on Ukrainian side, or 'the third force' of some sort. (He appeared a bit drunk and those words may mean little anyway)
(2)But it is said that K* has experience of hostile take-overs of others commerce; accused of inventing stories, using intimidation/force/strong-arms tactics (similar to Ukrnafta), and overall strong drive with not too many limitations, in pursuing his business interests. (Business dispute with Abramovich, verbal clashes with Putin noted).
(3)Still he would seem to be out of his depth in MH17; on Ukrainian side of things, that would need SBU and military involved; with some of the few oligarchs running most of the things possibly giving it some backing, ( a lot to none at all range), but not like sending their own goons to do it all... --Resup (talk) 12:57, 6 April 2015 (UTC)

West and Ukraine against Putin

Drakulablog.com has a history of publishing confidential information (though admittedly of unproven provenance) on sensitive national security issues. Today it has published materials from the February 19, 2015 NATO HQ meeting on "strategic communications", namely a psychological and information warfare strategy to discredit the Russian leadership among the population of Eastern Ukraine. In addition to targeting key Russian officials, it also intends to promote separatism in Russia's regions. Cassad posted images, as well as links to documents uploaded by rakulablog.com. -- J. Hawk

Ukrainian Security Service Involved in Buzina Murder

Sputnik News, April 30, 2015:

"We, the CyberBerkut, hereby present for public access materials confirming that the physical liquidation of public and political figures opposed to the Kiev Junta was authorized by the Security Service of Ukraine (SBU), and was supervised by the Kharkiv political elite; the 'cleaners of Free Ukraine' turned out to be Kharkiv-based nationalist groups."
Hacking the email of Vyacheslav Abbakumov, the Deputy Head of the Kharkiv Regional State Administration, CyberBerkut stated that they had found "correspondence between [Abbakumov] and an unknown leader of an extreme-nationalist group in the Kharkiv region."
Among the materials retrieved by the hackers is frantic email by Abbakumov to one of the alleged killers where he criticizes them for their methods [...] Along with the emails, CyberBerkut relayed a piece of official correspondence by Major-General Dublik, who serves as the Head of the Department of Protection of National Statehood. Directed to the SBU's Kiev branch, Dublik notes that security organs should oversee the Kharkiv nationalists' operations in Kiev.

--CE (talk) 13:00, 1 May 2015 (UTC)

We, CyberBerkut, spread the materials confirming in open access that physical liquidation public and the politicians who are in opposition to the Kiev Junta - has been authorised by Security service of Ukraine, supervised by the Kharkov political elite, and group «cleaners of Free Ukraine» territorially belongs to the Kharkov nationalist groupings.
About weeks ago, by realisation of the information extracted operative by, we had been got access to a secret mail box of the time assistant to the head of the Kharkov regional state administration of V.J.Abbakumova. From a mail box we had been received V.J.Abbakumova's office documents, and also correspondence of the aforementioned person with the unstated leader of one of neonationalist groupings of Kharkiv has been fixed. The given correspondence let and indirectly, however confirms that fact, that liquidation of oppositional forces in Ukraine was supervised by representatives of the government. Pictures of the most important part of correspondence, and a part of the documents received from a mail box:
Owing to that the scheme of realisation of the plan on opposition elimination was looked through not completely, because of the information received not in full, - we did not publish the given materials till now. However yesterday, 29.04.2015, have been received by us the order of the Head of Department of protection of national statehood of Security service of Ukraine major general A.J.Dublik in whom it is directly spoken about necessity of management and monitoring of certificates of physical influence on oppositional forces of Ukraine. More low, we result the given document:

-- Petri Krohn (talk) 22:44, 1 May 2015 (UTC)

"After the resonant murder of Buzina and Kalashnikov with a link to the hit list on "The Peacemaker" web site flashed in all the media - a huge number of people rushed to check whether they are in the list. Could it be a denunciation by neighbors for loud music, or a subordinate, who was reprimanded? So they enter their last name in the search box of the web site, even if they are sure that have done nothing illegal. Just in case. Indeed, in this crazy country, everything is possible ...

It is exactly what Gerashchenko and the company were counting on (here is the early Euromaidan press announcement of the project). They began to record information about all those who are searching for themselves in the website data base after the assassination of the opposition figures.

What can I say ... This is the bottom. This is impossible even for the NKVD and the Gestapo. And in Ukraine, a state ministry is engaged in this". "Murder with the state approval" (one of many sources providing an explanation). At least over 30,000 records with personal information were created as a result. --Resup (talk) 01:19, 2 May 2015 (UTC)

Tank and armor repairs fail

Of particular interest is the information on technical problems associated with brand-new Ukraine-manufactured BTR-3 and BTR-4 APCs mentioned in GenStaff Chief's Muzhenko's letter to the management of Ukroboronprom. Muzhenko's letter states that in 2014-15 the UAF received 20 BTR-3E1 and 25 BTR4E (these are the vehicles delivered to the MOD and not the MVD or the National Guard). Only 18 of them are still in working order today--7 BTR-3s and 11 BTR-4s.

Military spending

Hacker group CyberBerkut leaked documents of the Ukrainian Defense Ministry revealing Kiev's plans to boost the military budget two and a half times during the next three years.
The document envisages increasing expenditures from 60 billion hryvnia (nearly $3 billion) in 2015 to 150 billion (over $7 billion) in 2018. Thus, the military budget will grow 2,5 times.

Alleged David L. Stern MH17 tape

Recent info-release blaming 'CIA' for ...being nearby the crash site in space-time, and having, on face value, relevant discussions (?)

  • 'David L. Stern's phone talks before Malaysia Airlines Flight 17 plane crash'
  • Has a curious typo(?):

David L. Stern: Hello! I didn't have time to tell you yesterday... It was a right decision to get Poroshenko replace Koval. X: That was John's decision (presumably John Brannon). We thought it was right.

John Brannon is the lead vocalist for the American hardcore punk band Negative Approach. He also served as the front man for Laughing Hyenas and Easy Action. John Brennan (born September 22, 1955) is an American government official who is the Director of the Central Intelligence Agency.
  • Cassad (google translated):

'The existence of a CIA agent who was coordinating movements of a "Buk" says only that the provocation of the elimination of "Boeing" was planned and Americans were involved (on the model of a South Korean "Boeing" in 1983), but the record does not shed light on what happened on July 17 and how died as the "Boeing." '

  • bellingcat 'The Strange Story of the Ten Million Dollar MH17 Investigation'--Resup (talk) 04:04, 1 August 2015 (UTC)
The given transcripts of David L. Stern’s phone talks with David Hamilton partially clarify the events preceding the air crash on July 17, 2014 in Ukraine.
Audio was originally publsihed by KP.ru. According to unconfirmed reports, the audio files were provided by people of the ex-head of the Security Service of Ukraine (SBU) Valentyn Nalyvaichenko after his resignation.
David L. Stern, a citizen of the USA, working as a CIA agent under cover in international media, in particular in GlobalPost and BBC, in the middle of July of 2014 was near Grabovo village of the Donetsk region of Ukraine where the Boeing Malaysia Airlines Flight 17 (MH17/MAS17) was shot down.

Debunk

Complete with stilted greetings and cumbersome dialogue that sounds like both men are reading from a script, the recording opens with a series of conversations between the two alleged spies, identified as David Hamilton and David L. Stern. Throughout the recording, they discuss “preparations” for an operation that involves shooting down a plane with a surface-to-air missile and an eventual Plan B, which involves placing a bomb inside the plane — all for the purpose of staging a crash to discredit Russian-backed separatists in Ukraine and the Kremlin itself.

Intentionally Targeting Civilians

Documents show an order to plan and execute a one time hit on 4 targets in Donetsk, described in the document as "illegal armed formation headquarters". It is said that real objects are schools. Unclear on coordinates used; first target X = 05325220, Y = 07405178 is said to be gymnasium 41 in Donetsk, 48.052654 long, 37.726421 lat -map. Cyberberkut explains that with high probability this refers to a map they discovered, referenced as (М-37-136,137 L-37-4,5), magnification 1:25 000. They believe Ukrainian artillery was using this map (low resolution reproduction given). Documents are dated 27.12.2014. Translation at fortruss--Resup (talk) 12:19, 13 September 2015 (UTC)

Ukraine selling S-125 missiles to ISIS

Ukraine sells weapons for small Soviet Army to Saudi Arabia

Page 1 (Page 2)

It seems that the first thing the Kiev Junta did was to sell a load of weapons big enough to wage one year of "civil" war in Syria. The end user certificate is signed by Saudi Arabia and dated March 2, 2014. It is clear that the Saudi Land Forces would never use these Soviet weapons. For Saudis it has to be American and have air conditioning.

I did not read the article. It is unclear if these weapons ever got to Syria or even left Ukraine. The amount, 110,000 Kalashnikovs, 150 tanks, etc would have been enough to arm the Novorossiyan Armed Forces. -- Petri Krohn (talk) 19:24, 30 September 2016 (UTC)

This article describes it as a corruption/money laundering scheme. The deal is estimated at 500 mln USD, and Ukrainian controlled intermediary Triangle Group Incorporated charged 20% fee. The transfer itself did not happen, according to the article, because "presently sale of equipment of Ukrainian MoD is stopped, due to situation in the country". However the article is written in 2016, with date on the document itself cut off in the article. The date we see now is 03.02.2014. That was sufficiently messy time (even by Ukrainian standards) to justify having no clue what really happened --Resup (talk) 20:07, 30 September 2016 (UTC)

SBU destroys MH17 evidence

I have looked at the report the other day and was not convinced enough to post it. This is a journalist report--not a Cyberberku hack---using Ukrainian sources, which were motivated in large part by money, with some talk of disliking SBU (but it may be tuned to customer). It is not that difficult to produce this, one needs to know how such document has to look like, but an insider will know how to produce legit-looking copy (they say it is). There is little new info, name of the person who allegedly made incriminating photos -Vyacheslav (first name; last name not given); this name is provided by source, not in the document. He was a junior officer and served in a mortar detachment in ATO. He made photos with his Apple iPhone 4 (journos 'hope to get' photos but don't have them as yet). He was killed by a sniper outside of ATO area. It is said that before his death he gave photos to certain ensign Andrei Vladimirovich Drozd, military unit A1556 - commanded by Lieutenant Colonel I. Stakhiv (or Stakhov in a Russian spell). It is not known who/where he is and what happened to photos. OK, maybe. But there is nothing contradicting a skeptical view that this was done for money, with demand (both commercial and propagandist) existing for such sort of material. If all we will ever have is this piece of paper, it does not really prove anything as such paper is easily faked. At least they should have tried to find something corroborating in social media--they have not done it, sort of posting to crowd source this work. In reality, whoever side has the knowledge, most likely by now no documents are left. If they found 'Vyacheslav', why to kill him with a sniper rather than arrest and get hold of the photos, that is much easier and to the point. But if photovisuals are destroyed, or no hope to get those, claiming knowledge of their existence makes sense for propaganda. (So, OK, maybe, but maybe not). --Resup (talk) 12:30, 23 May 2017 (UTC)

Document number 1 is the same as appeared in Josef Resch mailbox, as reported on 21 Jul 2016 here. Resch noted handwriting, on the document, gave the document to German police. --Resup (talk) 12:41, 27 May 2017 (UTC)

Asov's ISIS?

  • Искусство фейка: как арт-центр в Донецке превратили в "базу ИГИЛ"('The art of fake: how the art center in Donetsk was turned into a "base of IGIL"') - by Andrey Soshnikov, BBC, December 2, 2016
This man, Andrey Soshnikov, at the time a St. Petersburg journalist from 'My region' journal, was among the first to contribute to an 'insider leak' from 'Savushkina, 55 troll factory', and appeared in a video also featuring Luydmila Savchuk. Presently, he is a journalist at BBC. This BBC publication attempts to debunk Azov-ISIS connection alleged in a VK post, claimed to be by CyberBerkut. Publication is a result of one year long investigation by Soshnikov. He says he was trying to match hangar construction + the windows to an actual hangar somewhere (studying Soviet manuals on hangars, in particular). In the end, he is making a claim that the hangar is located in Donetsk (DPR-controlled). Looking at his photos, I do not see a particularly strong match of the windows or construction features, inside or out. Chairs indeed look similar, but we need to take his word on where those chairs are coming from. I understand that he did not visit the location in Donetsk (he discusses his investigation in this Echo Moskvy interview, appearing alongside 'Conflict Intelligence' man Leviev. Leviev work is supported by a foreign grant, while Soshnikov works for BBC). --Resup (talk) 09:20, 25 February 2018 (UTC)
